My TBR pile of books is not getting any smaller but during a shopping trip today I couldn’t resist treating myself to these three.
I’m really looking forward to cracking the spine on these books as soon as I can; I’m currently reading “Loss” by Tony Black, which is a super read.

You will learn a lot from Bunker. Incredible talent.
ReplyDeleteI'm about four pages into Leigh Brackett's story, and am happier than a clam.
ReplyDelete"L.A. Noir: The Classics" was the eighth time I've read Chandler's "I'll Be Waiting" (I read the script version from the Showtime Network's "Fallen Angels" series, twice), and I see something different every time. The man knows nuance.
David and Cormac; thanks for taking the time to pop over and comment.
ReplyDeleteI’m really looking forward to the two short story collections.
I first came across Bunker with his novel “Stark” – I think he was a natural storyteller, with, how shall I say, an authentic background to call upon.
As for the LA collection, well the line-up of names is stellar, many of which I am not yet familiar with; but I’ll soon put that right!
Kind regards.
